Abstract

This contribution proposes to consider grammar from a metalinguistic perspective. It is based on the idea that teaching grammar involves three distinct but complementary conditions. From an ethnographic perspective and based on the description of teachers, this study highlights avenues for reflection likely to lead to a reconsideration of existing practices.
